Welcome back to another corner of our home: the entryway! I hope you’re enjoying my little Luxembourg apartment tour series. If you missed my other room reveals, you can check them out here, but first, let’s have a look at our practical entryway.
Honestly, the entryway was quite easy to furnish. I wanted a minimal and functional entryway that reflects our home’s style, so I just needed to gather all the entryway essentials and some decorative accents to make it welcoming.
Budget & Renter-Friendly Entyway: Essentials
As you enter the front door we have a decent-sized entryway that leads into different rooms, mainly the living room. The goal was to give the entryway the same style as the living room without having to splurge on expensive items. For the rest of the decor, I stuck with a pretty neutral color scheme, with some cozy, breezy vibes.
Bowl: This mango wood bowl serves as the main drop spot. we use it to throw our keys, coins, and mails.
Baskets: I love baskets, they are affordable, so versatile, and look great in any room. I got our wicker baskets from Conforama and we use them to store our shoes and shopping bags.
Bench: I incorporated this inexpensive Ikea bench as a place to put on and take off shoes but also as an open and airy storage option. I actually looked for a piece of multi-purpose furniture for the entryway and couldn’t find a better item than this bench. I put our key bowl on top and finished it off with shoe baskets underneath.
This Ikea bench is called Nornas. I got it on Facebook marketplace and stained it a nice warm shade.
Coat rack: we got this tree coat rack from Conformara. It’s a great renter-friendly option to hang our outwears.
Mirror: I love this rattan mirror from Ikea, it fits my decor perfectly and also helps to open the space up even more.
Decor & Finishing Touches For a Practical Entryway
Moving on to the decor, I wanted to keep it simple and only use pieces that are functional and decorative.
Throw pillows: to add a pop of color and bring some extra comfort to the bench.
Bags: I displayed my own rattan and straw bags as decor. We are currently using the one that is hung on the coat rack stand to store our masks.
Rug: I grounded the entryway area with a natural fiber rug. I love how it defines the space. It’s also great to hide dirt.
Print: I got the palms print on Etsy. I wanted a touch of my beloved Mediterranean that greets me when I enter my home, and this print is perfect!
Plant and dried eucalyptus: I finished off our entryway with some greenery to give it another layer of texture. If you did not miss my other room reveals, you probably noticed that I love dried eucalyptus. I got all my preserved eucalyptus branches from Hema, as I honestly can’t find anyone who does it as well.
And there you have it! Thank you for stopping by to visit my entryway tour. I hope my Luxembourg apartment tour series can provide you with inspiration!
